Day 34 – WLL shines in the rain

July 15, 2016 | admin Posted in Blog

Let’s face it, fishing in the rain can be a pain. It’s usually cool out when it rains. You’re wet, unless you brought good rain gear (that’s on our list of stuff to bring), it’s hard to see in the water, and you are probably getting depressed due to the lack of sunshine. As you can tell from the photo, it’s been raining. Well, we call it liquid sunshine. In the past 3 days we have caught 6 trophy northern pike measuring 48″.  It’s hard to imagine that the fish don’t feel our discomfort, but, guess what? They are eating! This 43″er is a prime example that our trophy fishing doesn’t slow down when the skies cloud up. So when people ask “when’s the best time to come?” Whenever you can get here!
