Day 37 – Silver Pike

July 17, 2016 | admin Posted in Blog

If you’ve followed this blog at all, you may notice that this is a rare find. Although each fish is unique in it’s characteristics and color, we do see a ‘silver’ pike on occasion. These color morphs are naturally occurring color phases that are very uncommon. I don’t have the exact stats, but maybe one in ten thousand will have this coloration. The really cool thing is that this one is 48″ long! THAT is a rarity. To have one measuring this size is incredible. Think of the odds against a light colored fish living in this cannibalistic environment. This is truly a fish of a lifetime.
